THE RESORT
The ancient town of Bansko, situated at the foothills of the majestic Pirin, in the South West of Bulgaria is one of the most beautiful Bulgarian Mountains and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Bansko provides a superb combination of outstanding natural beauty of the Pirin Mountain with state of the art ski lifts and a well planned ski area, whilst still retaining the atmosphere of the ancient Bulgarian small town. Bansko is not only a resort

The mixture of outstanding natural beauty and first class skiing conditions, serviced by state of the art ski lifts has already made Bansko the premier Bulgarian ski resort. Unlike purpose built ski resorts, Bansko is a picturesque town whose history is reflected in the architecture of the old town where over 150 listed buildings retain the ancient Bulgarian atmosphere. The naturally varied terrain coupled with it’s other unique attributes ensure that Bansko is not only a world class ski resort but also a beautiful historic spot.

Bansko is not only a great ski resort, it is also a fantastic summer holiday destination. As the host of the traditional Summer Jazz Festival, Bulgarian Folk Festival and many other cultural events, Bansko attracts many visitors during the summer months.

Surrounded by the Pirin, Rila and Rhodopa mountains, Bansko is a beautiful mountain resort with a short summer and long winter. Enjoy fabulous scenic walks and view the stunning lakes; Moratovo, Valeavishki and Popovo.
